The long awaited new album from the incarcerated, Lil Wayne, is set to be released
the day Wayne gets out of prison, according to Young Money president, Mack Maine.
Young Money are going hard with their 2010/2011 releases from the likes of Tyga,
Nikki Minaj and even Drake's working on his next album, but possibly the most
anticipated album is Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" or "C4," as it's sometimes known.
Mack told MTV.com that the album is in working process. "Tha Carter IV plans
we had and still have are to put Tha Carter IV out the day he comes out [of prison],
" Mack told MTV.com. "He had so many songs for Tha Carter IV, we said let's just
put these 10 songs out [on I Am Not a Human Being] and double-back for Tha Carter
IV. He has more songs for Tha Carter IV that are still strong."
Even though Wayne is serving a yearlong sentence on Rikers Island, he is very much
involved in "Tha Carter IV" selection process.
"It's basically me, him, Baby and Cortez Bryant mapping it out," Mack explained.
"We had a listening session out here. It was me, Baby and Cortez. I let [Wayne]
know these are the ones we picked. He already picked six of them from back there.
I let him hear it over the phone. I book him a studio session — I book him a
studio session and let him listen [to tracks] over the phone."
Look out for Wayne's highly anticipated release, November 5 2010.
